Five Ukrainian Defense Units Receive Cutting Edge UAVs, EW Systems Donations

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have received a substantial boost in their operational capabilities with the delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and electronic warfare (EW) systems valued at nearly UAH 51 million. This critical support was made possible through a collaboration between the Come Back Alive Foundation and Ukrnafta, a leading Ukrainian oil and gas company. The newly acquired equipment has already been distributed among five military units, reinforcing Ukraine’s defensive capabilities amid its ongoing war against Russian aggression.

The Come Back Alive Foundation confirmed the transfer of the equipment in a recent statement, highlighting that the funds provided by Ukrnafta were used to procure vital resources for the military. The 28th Mechanized Brigade has received a range of electronic warfare equipment essential for countering enemy threats on the battlefield. Meanwhile, the K-2 regiment’s UAV strike unit has been equipped with drones, transport vehicles, Autel thermal imaging optics, and communication radios to enhance its effectiveness in combat operations.

Additional reinforcements have been delivered to the 4th Rubizh Rapid Reaction Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. This includes six pickup trucks, a minibus, six UAV strike systems, electronic warfare systems, and power supply units. These assets are crucial in ensuring the mobility, communication, and tactical advantage of Ukrainian forces as they confront Russian forces along the front lines.

The funds have also been allocated to support specialized training initiatives. A mobile training center for first-person view (FPV) drone operators has been established, ensuring that Ukrainian forces remain proficient in modern drone warfare tactics. Furthermore, the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo, has received assistance in setting up an advanced electronic warfare laboratory to strengthen its operational effectiveness against enemy incursions.

The 68th Oleksa Dovbush Jaeger Brigade has also benefited from the initiative, receiving essential resources for its reconnaissance drone and FPV operator training programs. The unit has been supplied with 10 pickup trucks and minibuses, 14 electronic warfare systems, 9 attack drone systems, 25 Mavic drones, 7 Autel drones, as well as various communication and optical equipment, including night vision and thermal imaging devices. This investment in cutting-edge technology will significantly enhance the brigade’s reconnaissance and strike capabilities.

The Come Back Alive Foundation has revealed that UAH 48,105,420.13 of the total amount was transferred under the Iron Shoulder project, which is dedicated to supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces through contributions from strategic enterprises. The foundation has expressed its gratitude to Ukrnafta for its unwavering and systematic support of Ukraine’s military efforts.

This is not the first time the Come Back Alive Foundation has played a pivotal role in supplying Ukraine’s military with vital resources. In a previous effort, the foundation, in partnership with Ukrzaliznytsia, provided transport vehicles to the 53rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the evacuation of wounded soldiers. This continued support underscores the importance of strategic partnerships in strengthening Ukraine’s resistance against Russian aggression.
